Here are a few lovely resources helping me feel a little bit more confident about teaching my kiddi-winks all about Jesus:

Great fun, fab illustrations, and a little phrase at the end of each story to sum up the big idea. Lovely Lady no1. is only two and these have been a firm favourite for quite a while.

Every story does indeed whisper His name. A bit advanced for the Little Ladies right now but I love it because it tells you
how each story fits into the one really big story of God's love
for this world and how it's all been about Jesus right from the
very beginning.  We've just bought the DVD edition which is well worth it and narrated by David Suchet...although disappointingly not in a dutch accent :(

Like Baking? Like the Bible? Children really aren't a pre-requisite for buying this wonderful book :) I definitely bought it because I wanted it....from Jelly Boats to Eggy Bread houses...you're just going to have to buy it to see how on earth these foods are related to Bible stories.

And no I'm not on commission.

Make sure you order extra stickers....my favourite feature are the extra questions for you to ask your toddler when you're "out and about". It really helps the stories to come alive.

I'm not a huge fan of The Beginners Bible which accompanies this resource because of the rather hideous illustrations (sorry dear illustrator). Also a word of warning that the shortened toddler version does not include the retelling of the fall which if you ask me makes every subsequent story kind of irrelevant.  And in this mum's personal and clearly humble opinion the story of the fall is not beyond the grasp of my rather naughty (and frequently disobedient-just like Adam and Eve!) two year old. (sorry dear editor)

Just love these CDs! The one on the left has a Bible verse for every letter of the alphabet and is the CD of choice for every car journey at the moment.  The other day I was a little bit exhasperated with Little Lady no2. and Little Lady no1. Promptly began singing "be patient with everyone" at me. Fancy that...being admonished and encouraged by a two year old!
